A raging flame, that starts off small, but grows until it consumes everything and everyone. All it takes is the strike of a match, and then it's gone. Sparks flying, burning pain, you can't see or think. Smoke builds up and chokes you. The fire surrounds your senses, it destroys everything it lays hands on, tearing up the ground. Tears well up in your eyes, a stinging sensation throughout your body. An ember glows. A bright orange light blinds you. It warms you up, and comforts you. If only for a while.

Music plays in my heart, An unyielding rainbow cascading. A songbird is the bold singer. A teardrop slides down my flesh and plops in a teacup. They taste of salt and remind me of seawater. A vampire with his sword pierces into my shadow. It feels as if hedge trimmers were twisting in my stomach. In New York City, marionettes lurk along the street. My sweater and dress hide my scars. The library, the payphone, the mall, secret hideaways for us all. I sip coffee. I drink soup. But nothing makes it go away, not even ladybugs in October.

So many twists and turns. Where does it all lead? My heart's going in all directions. But which voice is my heart? What am I saying? The inner me is buried, Far beneath everything.
